Does anyone from my family of origin find this story reminiscent of Kinki? Hers was a full body "scraping" and I don't know if Mom fainted but the story made me smile.

As I remember the day I was taking Humphrey to the vet for an exam. When I started the car and the engine turned over I felt a bump/vibration. Then I saw fur flying through the air in the garage. I went into the house and asked if anyone had seen the cat. When I looked out the slider onto the deck I saw the cat looking stunned and with an ugly looking belly with several oozing scrapes.
Off to the vets but with the can not the dog.
So does anyone of the original origin remember any additional details?
